Tribble and Jones (1997:29) mentions that it is possible for a concordancing sorftware to group together words that semantically related, for example, sister, mother, daughter, aunt, niece, grandmother could be collected under the headword Female. It is the first time for me to hear there is such an amazing tool. Does any body else know this kind of tool? Thank you!

As long as these words were tagged as in the same group or with a highly related attribute, any text searching engine or concordance program can do this job!

I don't think Tribble and Jones (1997:28) mean annotation when they are illustrating the usage of concorddancer in classroom. Thank you, anyway.
