使用语料库的方法也可以从周围的的不同词汇的使用上，来区分意义相近的语法结构。Biber 在 Corpus Linguistics: Investigating Language Structure and Use 书中第 2， 3， 4 章就有相关讨论。

I would propose that the "meaning" of words in vocabulrary teaching include the following aspects:
1) lexical meaning (i.e. semantic meaning, what you find in a typical dictionary);
2) collocational meaning (e.g. semantic prosody and semantic preference, likely to be found in a recent corpus-based dictionary but not in an old conventional dictionary);
3) contextual meaning (i.e. register information: in what context the word typically appears)
Concordancing is a powerful tool for teaching 2) and 3).
