It is very interesting to notice that different word retrieval programs will often churn out different numbers of words in a text. The reson lies in that fact that different software has different defaults settings in the recognition of words. In the Granger's leaner English on Computer( 1998) , Fanny Meunier ( on the page of 27 of the Leaner English on Computer) said that WORDS by Johnson could offer access to the default setting of the definition of words, which is often denied by the other softwares.
