More corpora of the use of English in China available?

Hey, sorry to bother you guys.

I am wondering whether there are more corpora concerning the use of English in China available except JDEST, CLEC, the College Learner's English Spoken Corpus, the College English Major Learner's Spoken Corpus ?

Could you offer more information? Thanks.

To Xujiajin,

Sorry for the interruption and please forgive my ignorance if you could.

I am working on the application for a place as a PhD student right now and therefore I want to find out more information in respect of Chinese English corpora. According to Feng (2006:200), JDEST, the ICLE China Sub-corpus (Gui Shichun), the Corpus for English Learners in China (Gui Shichun, Yang Huizhong), the College Learner’s English Spoken Corpus (Yang Huizhong), the Chinese English Major Learner’s Spoken Corpus (Wen Qiufang), the CEC Chinese English Corpus (Li Wenzhong), the Middle School English Spoken Corpus (He Anping), etc have been designed and I hope to know about etc. You know it has been more than one year passing by since Feng wrote the article so more corpora might have been designed. That is the very reason why I ask this question. Thanks.

Actually Feng Zhiwei is not in the field of Chinese learner corpus research. If he wrote "the ICLE China Sub-corpus (Gui Shichun)", then he was wrong.

SWECCL 2.0 and BICCL will be released soon. The first one is one million or two million word English major's learner corpus, spoken and written. the second one, learner's translation corpus.

To Xujiajin,
Thank you for your information.
Could I ask whether a corpus of Chinese people using academic English is available? I am thinking to develop one in relation to the use of AWL in China. Does it work? I actually do not have to do that because there are already enough corpora for comparative study, right? Thanks.

With regard to an AWL, you are referred to Hyland and Tse (2007) before you decide to set up a corpus of your own.

Hyland, Ken & Polly Tse. (2007). Is there an ‘academic vocabulary?’ TESOL Quarterly 41 (2): 235-253.

It is not easy to be representative in terms of academic English.
