Is WS5 similar to WS4?
WordSmith is organic software!

Version 4 was a complete new re-write. Since it was launched in 2004, numerous re-compilations of WS4 were issued (about one a week on average), sometimes with a very small bug-fix but other times incorporating changes users had suggested. At the same time the Help was updated. Version 5.0 was started in June 2007, three years after version 4.0 and will continue this organic policy of growth...

The most impressive new feature is WS ConcGram but others are listed here.

As for WS ConcGram, what is it about? I can't gain access to the intro on that part! Pity!

By the way, one session of yesterday's American Association for Corpus Linguistics (AACL) 2008 conference, the new feature of WS5, Concgram, was presented by Mike Scott's colleague (Exploring Text-initial Concgrams in a Newspaper Corpus by Matthew Brook O'Donnell, Mike Scott and Michaela Mahlberg).
