库文件格式的问题

我这里有个文件，我知道可以用ws 打开！但这个文件不是txt格式，我也看不出来它是什么格式？

我想问的是：第一，为什么这个文本是这个格式？有什么特别的好处吗？
一般文本检索除了 txt外，还有什么格式？

It is a plain text file. Rename the file name to be "B1-CAT-A.txt", then you can open it with Notepad, EditPlus, WordPad or Microsoft Word.

For the reason why the file is saved and formated as it is, you should read the manual of the corpus where you got the file.
