Wizard-of-Oz (WOZ) is a technique where you mimic the envisioned system (using mock-ups and actors), and have a number of subjects carrying out tasks with this "sys-tem", while in fact the system is enacted by hidden humans (actors or researchers), thus approaching an authentic user-agent situation.
