Span（跨距）计算是否包含节点词（node word）

我注意到有关搭配强度的公式里，左4，右4，span计为8，偶然发现又有人说左4，右4，加节点词应计为9.

文献里对于是否包含节点词似乎表述得不明确。

不知大家是否有明确的文献印证这一点的？


The distance in which the node and its collocate appear in a sentence is called the span. “A span of –4, +4 means that four words on either side of the node (q.v.) word will be taken to be its relevant verbal environment.”

Span: This is the measurement, in words, of the co-text of the node. A span of -4, +4 means that four words on either side of the node word will be taken to be its relevant verbal environment.

是这样的！比如mark davies的系统中都是node为0，其它的左4，右四，所以这样的话，应该是9！

但说的时候都是 8！这个没问题，但实际上是9个！我想我说明白了吧。

我希望确认的是在MI等搭配强度计算公式中，span应为8还是9？不同的地方似有不同的说法。我希望能有具体文献证实一下哪个是对的。

Oakes (1998: 174)在Statistics in Corpus Linguistics并没有讲明。

而在下面这个网页上说的是8不是你说的9.

我个人也认为应该是8.

我给Mike Scott发了一封Email，他说在WS里，计算Z值时他用到了span，他所用的span值是8（如果左右语境都为4的话）。因此，答案应该揭晓了。

我一直都认为是8，可是前一天被别人问到这个问题时，反倒动摇了。因此起了这个帖子。

不过，我还会继续去寻找文献证据的。

学习了。获得的一条重要信息是，WS中计算Z值时用到Span。不知他的MI值用到Span没有？
