旧信息用非重音表达:是否为认知共性?

我感觉不应该这么绝对。口语中的given-new contract can also be achieved by lengthening, pre-intonation-unit pause, specific lexical and syntactic choice, and very probably can be achieved by gestures and other non-verbal means. Any statement about spontaneous speech is not easy to make.
 
But probablistically, there should be a general tendency to the use of de-accenting to make explicit or salient given/old information.

To me this is one of the differences between new generation discourse research and the old school as represented by C and many others.

其实也不一定,关键看谈话双方的交谈中是否强调某个信息,就信息而言,新旧是认知的问题,但是,新旧信息同时也是一个相对的概念,而且旧信息并不一定就用非重音表达,汉语中谈话就有很多这样的例子,新旧信息往往在谈话中交替出现,二者没有必然联系,更谈不上认知共性,老乔的书读得太多,总想从其中找到一些人类语言的共性这是好的,但不要将英语中的规律往汉语中套!起码应验证一下先!乱于以上,不情之处,请包涵;谬误之处,请指正!
