Following the previous eight bi-annual Teaching and Language Corpora conferences, TaLC 2010 is to be hosted by the Department of English and American Studies at Masaryk University, Brno, Czech Republic.

Call for Papers
TaLC2010 invites proposals for position papers, reports of work in progress, case-histories of successful corpus applications, and introductions to relevant new resources. Proposals may be for 30-minute papers, posters or software demonstrations - 1st February 2010.
We also welcome proposals for pre-conference tutorials and workshops - 15th February 2010. The topics are on the website. All proposals should be approximately 750 words.

Following the previous eight successful TaLC conferences, TaLC 2010 will take place in Brno, Czech Republic, July 1st to 3rd. Workshops will be offered on the previous day. The official language of the conference is English.

It will bring together practitioners and theorists with a common interest in the use of corpora for:
1) first and second language teaching and learning (including data driven
2) learning materials and student-centred linguistic investigation)
3) language awareness raising
4) teaching languages for specific purposes
5) teaching interpreting and translation
6) teaching culture and history
7) teaching literature
8) developing pedagogic grammars and learner dictionaries
9) teacher education
10) specialised corpora for teaching and learning: multi-modal, learner, LSP etc...
