BFSU NewWords Marker 1.0 was programmed by Mr. Yunlong Jia, and esigned by Dr. Jiajin Xu.
This vocabulary marking tool is a by-product of another tool called Sentence Collector that we have developed for English language teachers. This NewWords Marker can identify difficult words in text(s) against a base word list loaded previously by users [Please load the base list from Choose WordList], and list those difficult words at the end of each sentence. The result is saved by default in the same directory with the extension of *.mrk. In the meantime, some descriptive statistics, such as sentence length, number of new words, and filenames, can also be displayed if the corresponding boxes in the Settings area are checked. Alternatively, you can save the result as an index file (*.idx), which will be the input database for Sentence Collector.
