There was some discussion of this problem in the Xaira-Preview Mail List -

Oh yes, the search-and-replace won't centre the word, but it will make it red!

As Word wraps long lines automatically, there is no way to ensure that kw is centred, unless their beginning and ending are cut.

Or use a Word global search-and-replace, of the form FIND (<kw>)(*)(</kw) REPLACE WITH \2 and format the replace box as red text (sorry, I can't recall the exact regular expression off the top of my head but it's something like that - the Word help is pretty good on find/replace special characters)!
Andrew.

There is some discussion of this in the tutorial for Sara at
http://www.natcorp. ox.ac.uk/SARA/Hitlist/ but unfortunately the details
of the "recipes" given there need updating for Xaira. Maybe someone on
the list would like to take a crack at it?
The basic point is that Xaira uses XML for everything. The KWIC display
with the red word in the middle which you see in the client is actually
an XML format, as is the format we export the hitlist in. So you have
to get Word to process the XML properly. This isn't very difficult but
it requires some external file, such a stylesheet.
Alternatively, if you just want to keep exactly what you see on the
screen in your Word document, why not use a screen capture program?

Can I keep the original format of query result in which the key word is in red and placed in the centre of each line?
