how to distinguish prep. and subordinate conj.

my paper concerns connectives, so prepositions are not my focus. how can I do with it in gotagger? please help me! Thank you!

Your post is very difficult to answer bacause we don't know

1) whether you are talking about English or Chinese (or any other language);

2) whether you are talking about machine/software recognition/search or human recognition;

3) what you mean by "connectives/subordinate conj" (actually I kind of know what it means but different people may have different scopes in mind);

4) what you mean by "do it with gotagger";

etc.

Anyway, as has been discussed many times here, the more specific a question is, the more likely you'll get a useful response.

Presumaly English data. Tag your texts with Gotagger and extract all instances of words tagged as conjunctions (there should be a tag (or more?) for conjunctions in the Gotagger tagset).
