NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL DOCTORAL RESEARCH SCHOLARSHIPS

The New Zealand International Doctoral Research Scholarships are funded by the New Zealand Government and administered by Education New Zealand, are a significant educational opportunity. The scholarships provide financial support for international students undertaking doctoral degrees by research in New Zealand universities.

These scholarships reflect the New Zealand Government's commitment to deepening New Zealand's educational partnerships with participating countries and regions. Over the next two years the scholarship programme will be expanded progressively and renamed. From 2007, up to 100 doctoral and 100 undergraduate students will be studying under the programme.

Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic merit and up to 40 scholarships will be awarded for students undertaking doctoral study in the coming academic year.

老洪,新加坡、新西兰和香港的语料库博士招生各有哪些院校和要求呢?新加坡获得奖学金的机会如何?谢谢!
 
简单说来这三地的大学博士招生要求和欧美没什么差别,都要求有外语能力测试(TOEFL、GRE等)的成绩,成绩越好拿奖学金的可能性就大。具体招生要求,一般大学的网页都有详细介绍。奖学金方面,香港和新加坡的大学资金相对充裕些,新加坡最实惠些。就语料库方面近年给奖学金的博士招生来说,新西兰有我在一楼贴的那个,香港有FANG Chengyu Alex 的招生广告(在这里贴过的,可以搜搜)。如果对新加坡感兴趣,可以分别和新加坡国立大学的 Dr. Vincent Ooi 或新加坡南洋理工大学的 Dr. Paul Doyle 联系。

Michael Barlow now is with Auckland University, and he spend half a year at the uni.
