这里的corpus好像不是真正意义上的语料库哦。它们的基础是database，而且是特意从各类句子中挑选出来的，不是随意语料的组合。

In my opinion, the metaphor is a topical issue across a number of disciplines, wherever researchers are concerned with how speakers and writers package and process messages. This book is addressed at readers from diverse academic backgrounds who are interested in ways of researching metaphor from different perspectives, and especially through corpus linguistics.

The corpus approach has been one of the major pressures on metaphor research in current years. A metaphor is a method of seeing something in terms of something else.
