Conversation Analysis Methodology

I went over the paper only to find it was but a summary of CA research approach, and it seemed to me it has little to do with language learning. However, it IS a good summary.
 
Indeed so if it stands alone as an article, but not surprising as the opening chapter of a book that deals with CA in language learning, is it?
