We are happy to let you know that we have extended and improved the
Sketch Engine service, and moved to a new and higher-powered server.
We shall close your account on the old server at then end of November,
and invite you to open a new one on the new server: go to
http://www.sketchengine.co.uk. As you will see, free trials are now
limited to thirty days. The licence fee for an academic, single-user
licence is 50 Euros per year.
CHANGES
INTERFACE: Following user feedback, the search interface has been
simplified. All functionality and options are still available.
LANGUAGES: Further corpora are now available, for Chinese, French,
German, Italian, Portuguese, Slovene and Spanish as well as English.
WEBBOOTCAT: This is a tool for building instant web corpora (in special
domains). It is available from your Sketch Engine home page.
CORPUS BUILDER: For loading your own corpus into Sketch Engine.
The last two services are subject to quotas of 500,000 words each. If
you wish to increase your quota, please email.
