I've just made a software tool for using DVD movies as a multimedia
corpus.
ReadMe
http://sato.fm.senshu-u.ac.jp/_web/DVD/index.html
Sample movie (11.6M, wmv)
http://sato.fm.senshu-u.ac.jp/_web/DVD/drink.wmv
Application (You have to read ReadMe first!)
http://sato.fm.senshu-u.ac.jp/_web/DVD/TripleM_CorpusTool.hta
The application is very simple. It searches Subripped text files and shows these search results:
casablanca.srt00:00:13 Yes, Madam?
casablanca.srt00:08:14 Will you ask Rick if he'll have a #drink# with us?
When a user selects a line, the application mounts the DVD image file, sends the time code, and replays the scene.
You can read the source code of this application, and change it as you like.
Enjoy!
