advanced learner如何定义

看到国内学者文秋芳等(2003, 2005, 2006)和 李志雪等（2005）在相关文献中用到高水平学习者这个术语。虽然文献中没有这个术语的界定，但是，这些文献都将高水平英语学习者理解为英语专业三四年级学生。请问国际上是如何定义高水平学习者，即外语水平要达到什么水平才可以称得上高水平。谢谢！

这个基本没有一以概之的定义，就目前的情况看，中国的英语专业三四年级学生算得上高水平英语学习者了。李志雪等（2005）是不是山东外语教学上的那篇中美学生作文范文对比的文章啊？

在发出帖子后，oscar3又继续寻找了一些文献，其中有一本论文集
Byrnes，Heidi; Maxim, Hiram (Eds.), Advanced Foreign Language Learning: A Challenge to College Programs. AAUSC Issues in Language Program Direction. Boston: Heinle, 2003. 对高水平学习者和高水平的外语学习作了一些论述。

This is an interesting theoretical issue, not only a matter of definition. The CALPER (Center for Advanced Language Proficiency and Education) team at Penn State University is working on these issues, and there will be a collection of position papers on "advanced proficiency" forthcoming.
