讨论&求助

Hi all!
I am a new comer to corpus linguistics and here come some questions i am struggling with and unfortunately, until now, i could not work them out. Hope you can share ur opinions with me and give me some tips.thx.

Questions:
1.As Chomsky thinks the only valid source of linguistics data is the native speaker's intuitions, and criticizes corpus linguistics for (1)not being able to account for the infinity of language(i.e. all corpus are incomplete) and (2) studying [skewed data].
How his claims are countered by corpus linguists? How to explain the uniqueness of linguistics constructions ?
For example: Take an arbitrary, not too
short sentence from the McE & W book. Type a word positioned
in the middle of the sentence into a search engine, for example
Google. How many hits did you get ? Then enter this word
together with the word preceding or succeeding it (use quotation
marks to make sure that the words in question are adjacent in
the hits you get). Go on extending your search by adding words
from your sample sentence until you reach 0 hits. How many words
did it take? What does this tell us about the uniqueness of
linguistic constructions ?
2. Mention some characteristics of spoken language which present problems for traditional corpus linguistics and discuss how they can be handled.
3. Discuss some the main ways in which language technology can help the world’s languages to survive. What would be your priorities if you were given the task of bringing language technology to an endangered language?
因为没有系统的学习,全部都是自学,所提的问题或许和外行或者很浅薄,希望各位老师同学都不要见笑,并且能给予帮助,谢谢
我的参考教材是 "Corpus Linguistics" by McEnery&Wilson
谢谢

My research direction is Comparative Education, and i am personal interested in SLA, thus i got to know corpus linguistics...I would rather to have some assignments to structure my research.
