请教关于基于语料库的研究如何结合理论

本人打算写基于口笔语语料库的3-6词词块研究,想以Biber的频率方法为理论框架,不知是否可行?这类论文的理论较少,不知道我的研究该如何结合理论?二语词汇习得,还是中介语分析,还是直接用Biber的结构和功能分类标准?:confused:请高人指教,谢谢!

Corpus-based studies are, to a large extent, descriptive and inductive. Of course it is important to theorize after corpus analysis.

You can use Biber's structural and grammatical taxonomy, but if you want to theorize on your research. You are supposed to have your own analytical framework.

Biber's method is not seen as theoretical in a linguistics sense.

You may find interesting to have a look at my paper on 3-6 word chunks in Chinese learners' English speech. I did some theorizing on the discourse functions of the chunks in section 3.3. It is not only a classification of functions but an interactive model of profiling learner interaction in English.

Contrastive Interlanguage Analysis is nothing but a method of comparison, not a theory in whatever sense.

The following paper might be an example of combining lexical acquisition theory with corpus analysis. The corpus analysis turned out to a way of confirming an existing theoretical understanding.

本文在赋码语料库的基础上,探讨不同阶段中国英语学习者在使用名词类联接方面的发展特征。研究使用的为中国学习者英语语料库中的三个子语料库,采用的查询软件是PowerGREP。文中类联接分为语法类联接和词语类联接两大类。数据表明三组学生在语法类联接的使用频数上呈不断上升的趋势,在词语类联接方面则没有明显进步。研究认为,中国学习者使用名词类联接的发展基本符合“词汇化—语法化—再词汇化”的模式,在教学过程中应针对不同阶段学生的特点进行相应的教学安排。

Investigating Chinese learners' developmental feature of noun colligation--A corpus based study

Abstract
This paper investigates the developmental feature of Chinese-speaking learners’ use of noun colligation on the basis of tagged corpora. Three sub-corpora of CLEC are employed along with PowerGREP. In this study colligation is classified into grammatical colligation and lexical colligation. The data showed that the learners across three proficiency levels made remarkable progress in terms of grammatical colligation, but no obvious development was found regarding lexical colligation. It is argued that Chinese learners follow the pattern of “Lexicalization-Syntacticalization-Relexicalization” with respect to their use of noun colligation. The trace of mother tongue is revealed in their behavior of colligation.
