Why can't I adjust the span of Context?

I have problem to adjust the span of context using WST4.0 concordacing some Chinese texts. I know we can adjust the span of context by clicking "concord", "File", "new" ..."advanced". I want to define my span from "L5" to "R10", however, the concordance always display the result with default span after I have tried nearly the whole mornng. Could anybody there give me any help? Thank you!

save the setting information before your concordancing.

经过艰苦地摸索（），发现原来我犯了一个错误，我一直以为图中2处Lx －Rx为调整语境跨度的机关，原来截图中1处才是真正的机关。怎么也没有想到这“characters to save (per entry)”竟是这调整语境的参数，我一气之下选了个450的大数字。我在在WST的帮助文件中，以及Mike的网上也没有搜索到和span有关的内容。最后我还给Mike去了一封邮件，估计渡周末去了，所以没有回。

谢谢armstrong的回复。不知道armstrong走得是哪条路径。

Lx-Rx is the setting for computing collocates, not the "span" or the amount of context you see in KWIC concordances. (The screenshot shows it is a setting for "collocate".)

I realized Lx-Rx at the left bottom in the screenshot is a setting for collocate after I tried many times. Is the botton at right top in the screenshot a setting for span in KWIC? It seems the result of search in KWIC varies to my adjustment.

It is. You can use it to adjust the amount of context (number of characters on each side of the search word) to be displayed or saved for KWIC concordances.
