国内哪里有售BNC，FLOB，等这些语料库光盘的正式版本的？烦请知道的前辈回帖告知详情，谢谢！
 
应该没有地方卖。 只能向人借用。我就是向我们的导师借的。由于版权的问题，还不准拷贝。

FLOB and Frown are one million word balanced corpora for modern written British and American English (the 1991 updates of LOB and Brown).

They are now freely available (only on the corpus4u site) for searching using our WebConc

I did as told in your posting, but failed in opening FLOB with xaira client. the following dump gives the error message. Can you tell me why?

真是可惜。为什么国外的语言学著作可以轻易的引进，语料库为什么就这么难 登陆中国呢？网上语料库虽然可以在线使用，但是毕竟要受到网速等因素的诸多限制。

BNC Baby version 2.0 will be released shortly (20 pounds), including the BNC sampler, Brown, and contents of version 1 (Xaira 1.09 replaced with 1.15).

ICAME will shortly release a new CD, including new XML versions of old corpora and many new resources.

国内出版社从来不敢轻易引进电子出版物。中国学生一旦一个人买到了一张光盘，很快校园网上就有了，出版社就不用再挣钱了。

The indexed versions of LCMC and FLOB only work with Xaira 1.13, not 1.14.

LCMC: http://www.ling.lancs.ac.uk/corplang/lcmc/lcmc.xcorpus

FLOB: http://www.ling.lancs.ac.uk/corplang/freiburg/flob/flob.xcorpus

Some users have reported that they could not access the corpora from their machine. I am not sure what is going on, but the problems may be related to firewalls. If your windows logon user name contains Chinese characters, Xaira also cannot work because it needs to access the temporary directory.
 
thanks a lot for your information! i hope i can get a copy of licenced BNC and some other world famous corpus on cd rom! access is a great issue!
 
the BNC world edition is issued because some files in the BNC verson 1 are restricted to Europea or America. I think a similar approach can be taken for Chinese corpora - making resources for which copyright can be cleared publicly available.
