Sinclair和Hunston对pattern and meaning的观点异同

Sinclair 认为pattern和meaning 是一一 对应的关系。而Hunston认为这是“strong statement”. Hunston(2000:86)认为“given a list of words occuring with a particular pattern, the majority will be divisible into reasonalbly coherent meaning groups...”她所谓的这个medium view--meaning 和pattern不是一一对应的关系,这和Sinclair的strong view的区别是有本质性的,还是一贯相承的关系呢?有点糊涂,搞不清? 请您指教指教!!!谢谢啦!!!

最近也在看pattern grammar, 个人觉得本质应该是一样的吧,都是以词汇为中心的语法观。Huston把特定的词汇放到以词性为基础的形式(pattern)中是便于归纳和描写吧。毕竟像Hoey的Lexical Grammar中那样完全的词汇驱动(lexical priming)还是太激进了吧。坐等专家指教。
