topic, so it'd be useful to read them first. Just search the internet and

Altenberg 将things like that, stuff like that等口语表达称为vagueness tags ，Channell称为vague category identifiers ,国外不少学者都研究过。本人曾比较过中国学生同native speakers在此类词上使用的异同。
