回复: BFSU PowerConc A freeware concordancer for Windows免费通用型语料库检索分析工具
PowerConc features keyword analysis, key-n-gram analysis (or key chunk, key cluster analysis), key lemma analysis, and key pos-gram analysis.
This feature is named Keyness analysis, as it goes far beyond key words and key word combinations. The term Keywords fails to cover so many options of comparison. And all the comparisons are based on 'keyness', log likelihood test by default in PowerConc, for which Keyness analysis was selected for PowerConc.
Please follow the steps below to get a key n-gram list.
1. Build an n-gram list of your reference corpus with PowerConc N-gram list tool, and Save the list as a txt file;
2. Delete the first four lines of the n-gram list;
The first four lines look like:
Term(s) Freq.
Size 28939
Hit(s) 17224
Item(s) 16422
3. Build an N-gram list of your observed/study corpus;
4. Click Keyness at the right-hand lower part of the Window to go to Keyness analysis;
5. Load the previously saved ref n-gram list and go (i.e. Count).
One of the attached 3-gram lists is original, the other with the first four lines removed.
AntConc n-gram lists are useful, but they need some sort of conversion to meet the format of PowerConc.
